We will now show how the Note Pad Application works with a simulation of creating a new Note Pad entry.
Simulation of creating a Note Pad entry
Alternative links: Photobucket
This simulation shows how easy it is to create a new Note Pad entry, make changes to it, set up an alarm so that it would sound at a specific time and pop up with the note. The NotePad is a great reminder tool whether it’s to remind you of an appointment, a task, a shopping list, errand, etc..
Click on the image to view the Macromedia flash file.
The simulation will play through to the end unless I’ve inserted a pop up note to explain specific points.
To continue playing the simulation, press the
button.
To go back to a previous paused segment, click on the
button.
To pause the simulation at any time, press the
button. To continue after it’s paused, press the button again.
To scroll forwards or backwards in the simulation, click anywhere on the left (to go back earlier in the simulation), or right (to go forward in the simulation) on
the progress bar.
I will now show some screenshots of the Note Pad application with various entries as well as the menu options available in the program.

Hopefully, you’ve enjoyed this post on the Note Pad application. I think the best way to get a better idea of how the Palm device and applications work is to head down to your local computer or electronics store like Staples, Office Depot, Best Buy, etc and take some time to try it out with the display models. See how it looks. Feel how small or light it is in your hands. There’s something to be said about seeing something in real life than reading about it or looking at pictures. Play around with the display models and you should get a better idea of how it works.
