The Expense Application: Pt 2: the screens

In this last part of the Expense application series, I will show how they look by showing the screenshots of the Expense Application as well as provide some program suggestions that can offer more than the default Palm Expense application.

Screenshot of the Record menu: Delete Item, Purge
Select an expense entry and you can delete, or purge specific entries within a time period.
Edit menu: Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Select All, Keyboard, Graffiti 2 Help
Select an expense entry and you can edit in various ways.
Options menu: Preferences, Custom Currencies, About Expense
You can set preferences in the Expense application.
Custom Currencies pop up screen
Tapping the Custom Currencies will pop up this scrren. Select up to four different countries’ currencies.
Currency Properties pop up screen
Selecting the Country in the previous screen will pop up this screen. This screen allows you to enter the name of the country and the currency symbol

The Expense Application, seems like a good starter application but eventually, if you require something more, you’ll need to look at other third party applications. Here are some third party expense applications:
This list has a wide range of programs that offer from basic Palm standalone program, to spreadsheet capabilites and possible export/import capabilities and Windows integration. As well, some offer a simple family financial focus, while others offer more for a business executive. I’d suggest checking them out and determining which applications suit your needs.
