As always, a BIG THANKS to Sammy McLoughlin of Palm Addicts for mentioning my blog. So, welcome to all those Palm Addict readers visiting here for the first time. And those who are regular readers, welcome back! If you’re not aware of Palm Addicts, I strongly suggest you check them out as they update so many times a day from all over the world.
The Calc application has a useful feature that many users may not be aware of. You can bring up a list of recent calculations made in the Calc application.
This can be very handy if you are doing a set of calculations (like adding up bills and receipts) and found out that something was wrong. By looking into the list of what calculations you did, it’s almost like the paper receipt that the old calculators (are they even around anymore?) with paper printouts allow you to do. Of course, this is virtual and you save on paper.
Here is a simulation of how to access that feature in the Calc application:
If for whatever reason the Flash simulation doesn’t show up in your browser, try and click on the image below and see if you can get a pop up window that will show the simulation.
The Flash simulation will load and run if you have Macromedia Flash player installed and enabled in your browser. If it doesn’t load or run, please check that you have it installed and/or enabled. At anytime, you can pause it, or go forward or backward simply by clicking on the progress bar to the left (backward) or right (forwards) of where you currently are. Or, click on the green arrow at specific points where I’ve paused the simulation to continue with it.
I hope you enjoyed this tip and I’m sure a lot of you are aware of this, but I hope that this may be an interesting series of quick “how to’s” that newbies may find helpful to learn quickly.

I can’t get the flash simulation to work. I have Flash. Is my pop-up blocker the problem? Thanks
If you have Firefox’s Adblock or similar flash blocking extensions or disabled Flash in your browser, make sure you re-enable it or disable the flash blockers. One way to make sure you can play Flash files is to go to Macromedia’s site or other sites (ie.ESPN) where they enable Flash and check to see that you can view it.
Or, if you’re in Internet Explorer, make sure that you allow ActiveX to load. Otherwise, you won’t be able to view it.
I have loaded this page in Firefox, Opera and Internet Explorer and don’t have a problem viewing the Flash simulation. You may want to try other browsers and see if you can view it.
