You can save a few taps or clicks if you want to quickly enter data into your Date Book/Calendar application without going through the usual tapping of the “New” button, then set an alarm, etc. You can just enter the data immediately and then set the other stuff later.
Simply open up the Date Book/Calendar application. Start writing in the Graffiti area or, if you have “Write Anywhere on Screen” enabled, just scribble on the screen. For the Treo 650, you will first need to have Graffiti Anywhere installed to be able to input via Graffiti 2 on the screen. The Date Book/Calendar application will immediately create a new entry. Finish writing down your entry and then click on the Details button at the bottom and set the alarm or other settings you wish for the entry. This will also happen with other third party Date Book/Calendar applications like Datebk5.
You save having to tap on the “New” button on the screen and it’s the fastest way to input something in the Date Book/Calendar application. Simply put in your info quickly and then come back to it to set the alarm and other settings if you wish.
Simulation of a quick Date Book/Calendar entry
The simulation will play through to the end unless I’ve inserted a pop up note to explain specific points.
To continue playing the simulation, press the
or
button.
To go back to a previous paused segment, click on the
or
button.
To pause the simulation at any time, press the
button. To continue after it’s paused, press the button again.
To scroll forward or backward in the simulation, click anywhere on the left (to go back earlier in the simulation), or right (to go forward in the simulation) on
the progress bar.
