First of all, I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Jonathan Winter of Palm Addicts for recently mentioning my site and about the current Palm Discovery contest giveaway of the Otterbox 1920 PDA Case for the Treo 650/700p/w/wx. By the way, this contest ends this Sunday the 31st at 12 midnight Pacific Standard Time (New Years!) but you still have lots of time to get your entry in. WOW! I am speechless. I feel very honored to be acknowledged, not to mention being awarded this prize! I couldn’t believe it when Sammy sent me an email advising me of this award. I was shocked, surprised but of course very glad and honored. Thank you, Sammy for awarding Palm Discovery this prize! I will be posting this award proudly on the site and in the postings. Now that I’ve been awarded this, it makes me worry whether I will be able to retain this award for next year! Congratulations to all the winners as well as all the runners up! I personally think that being acknowledged is already quite an honor as we are all trying to just communicate and connect with the Palm community as a whole through all of our different approaches, news, perspectives, editorials, and ideas. As I’ve always said, the Palm community is such an AMAZING community that is so supportive and one I am very proud to be a part of. We all aim to help each other out and just share our love of the amazing little device known as the Palm through blogs, forums, sites, email, etc. I have to say that as a whole, we do provide quite a loud voice to Palm and I am starting to think that we are being noticed by the media, corporations, community and what we say and share through our sites actually do influence things to a certain degree. And that makes me feel much more positive about Palm, a corporation that I felt was being too aloof. But, I am feeling that things are changing and I do hope it’s for the better.

I am currently writing up a multi-part editorial on my thoughts about Palm, the company and I admit that in it, I have been at times, provided a less than positive perspective but that’s because I do care about what happens and I hope that my editorial will somewhat “wake” Palm up so that they will go in the right direction. So, consider yourself warned.
