Audible is making changes to their membership subscriptions. They will be making some changes to a few memberships that you may want to pay attention to.

AudibleListener Platinum Free Audio Credit Drops From 3 to 2

One of the major changes to the membership applies to the AudibleListener Platinum membership which will drop the free monthly audio credits from 3 to 2. That translates to a decrease of 12 audio credits, which is quite a lot! If you enjoy listening to a lot of audio books, this is something you don’t want to miss out! And don’t forget that audio credits aren’t limited to audio books as in fiction or non-fiction books but stretches beyond to periodicals like newspapers and magazines, to radio shows, to language instruction and much more.

If you subscribe to the annual AudibleListener Platinum Membership now, before the new subscription comes into effect, you will still claim the 12 audio credits. Once the new membership features kick in and you won’t be able to take advantage. Of course, paying for the year’s membership can be a bit of a hefty purchase. You do get the advantage of being able to download and use up all the audio credits all at once rather than earlier when you were restricted to the monthly allocation. Even if you get the AudibleListener Platinum monthly subscription only you will still get an extra free audio credit, for this month, which is still not bad.

Discounted AudibleListener Gold membership

The other notable change, and on a more positive note is that the AudibleListener Gold subscription has been changed to a Discount AudibleListener Gold subscription. What does that mean? You still get all the same benefits as the previous AudibleListener Gold subscription except the price has been discounted to $7.49 for the first three months and $14.95 per month thereafter. This is a great way to get a 50% discount off the monthly subscription for 3 months to “try out” the service.

Benefits include:

AudibleListener Basic discontinued

As well, other changes to membership subscriptions include the discontinuation of the current $9.95 AudibleListener Basic subscription on March 19th. Everything will remain the same for current subscribers to the plan. This only means that the subscription will no longer be offered.
