Thanks for visiting Palm Discovery

Thanks again, to Sammy of Palm Addicts and Alex of Treobits for recently mentioning Palm Discovery on their front page.
BTW, our Nutshell leather PDA case winner, Greg, has responded to my email and the case is now on its way to him. (Sorry, guys). Hope he will enjoy it and give it a good home. Again, if you wish to have more giveaways, please consider supporting the site by either making purchases from products and software that I have affiliate links for (Proporta, Boxwave, Handango, Palm USA, etc) or making a donation via PayPal.
Today’s Palm Explorer Profile comes again from another submission to our Nutshell PDA giveaway contest. Sfs (he/she did not disclose a name) owns a Sony Clie PEG-TJ37 (gosh, don’t we miss those Sony Clie’s since they really make some great looking Palms.) It hasn’t been the same once Sony left the market.

Name: sfs
Handheld: Sony Clie PEG-TJ37
I use my Clie to keep my schedule, contacts, passwords, Microsoft Office documents, and email accounts close at hand. It never leaves my side (except when it’s in my hand), and I’m not sure how I’d get around without it.
Thanks very much for sharing this with us, sfs. Just looking at those Sony Clie’s make me yearn for the years when the Palm community had so many products to choose from. There were the Garmins, the Sony Clie’s and of course, the Palm branded devices. And the funny thing is that it wasn’t THAT long ago. Now, we’re stuck with very aging Tungsten E2, TX, and Z22 without any indication that there will be any replacement standalone Palms in the future.
Oh, and there is the Foleo. Oh. I am still disappointed about it although not as frustrated as I was originally when it was announced. I love the Palm device and would really love for Palm to come back with a great device that shakes up the whole industry and reclaims itself as the top innovator in the field. Maybe the Foleo will and I really do hope that it will and I am so terribly wrong. Actually, I am praying that I’m wrong (I’m THAT wishful that I’m wrong) to give you an idea how much I want Palm to get back on top. I’m still a Palm addict and love Palm and Treo but obviously, as a consumer, I must look at what else is available.
I hope that I will get a Win Mobile Treo to complement my Palm OS Treo 650 but at this point in time, the HTCs are looking so tempting. Who knows? Palm just may come out with something to knock my socks off. But at this point in time, the rumored Treo 800 is a CDMA Treo so I have to keep waiting for a GSM model.
