THANK YOU, K Rolf, for your wonderful comment and for taking the time to read and watch my review. Unfortunately, the Treo 755p was a loaner unit and I don't have a newer version of the Palm OS Treo to look for the color coding on the calendar. However, I'd strongly suggest you take a look at the excellent Datebk6 from Pimlicosoftware ( http://pimlicosoftware.com/ ) where you can customize it to the way you want. I personally LOVE Datebk5/6 and I'm sure you would too. As for loading older versions on a device, unless you are doing ROM changes, especially with ROM apps like the Calendar, you may be dealing with a lot of hassles and render your Treo buggy and unstable. I'd suggest getting a third party program instead like Datebk6 rather than trying to load something that may "break" your Treo. Especially with Palm devices, it seems that a lot of coding has changed with each new version of a device which caused a lot of frustration and headaches for developers. So, to be on the safe side, better to get a third party app instead.

Thank for your time!

Thank you SOOOOOOO much "maceyr" for your in depth (4 part) review of the Palm Treo 755p!!! It went a long way to help me decide what cell phone I should get. I've had a TungstenE for about 5 years and would be ABSOLUTELY lost without the Calendar 1.0; LOVE the color coding on the monthly screen showing what kind of appointment I have on any given day. Couldn't tell from your review if this calendar version has that feature, but the phone definitely has a comfortable feel...like it will NOT let me down.
Again, thanks!!
P.S. IF you have time, and are so inclined...could you m-a-y-b-e email me to let me know if earlier versions of such software can be put on this new device? I'll understand if I don't hear from you. Again, thanks bunches!!
