Along the same lines of the similar USB Birthday Decoration kit, here’s one with a Christmas theme!

This USB Christmas Decoration kit is a similar kit to the Birthday one that helps brighten up a workplace computer area with colorful lights, a screensaver, a Merry Christmas sign, Xmas themed party hats and a mouse pad. This kit can be sent either as a gift to a friend or co-worker, or you can go through the process of setting the whole kit up on a workplace or home computer.

Working during Christmas Eve or on Christmas Day can be quite a drag, even if you are paid a bit more in compensation and having such a decoration kit set up can somewhat lessen the impact of working on the most festive and celebratory day of the year.

As mentioned in the USB Birthday Decoration review, this can be quite an interesting gift or surprise for the recipient. Rather than going to another day of dull work, you step into your own desk to find that someone has taken the time to set up and decorate your workplace with lights, screensaver, hats, signs and a themed mouse pad. Doesn’t that at least make it less dull? Okay, if only somewhat.

Or, sending it to a friend or family member for receipt before Christmas can also be fun so they can set it up themselves. Obviously, a lot of the fun and element of surprise is taken out, but it’s still the thought that counts, right?

Or, if you own a business establishment like a restaurant or coffee shop, it would definitely add a bit of holiday flair and mood of the season all around. Rather than ringing in the at a boring looking computer till, your customers can see that it has been transformed into a holiday themed one complete with lights. Hey, remember that perception is everything. This could be part of the decorative theme of your business establishment to make it seem more “in spirit” of the holidays.

Please note that the screensaver does come with a Christmas tune playing in the background. I made a mistake assuming that there was no sound (must have turned off the speaker or turned down the volume when I did the review) and may have mistakenly assumed that the screensaver did not have any sound. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.

Here are my observations:

Again, similar to what I wrote for the USB Birthday Decoration Kit, I was a bit disappointed that the lights were not flashing ones, which would have added to the attention grabbing theme of the kit. It’s very nice that the lights are powered via the USB so that you do not need any batteries to power it up. Also, I would have preferred that the screensaver were more interactive and fun than simply a message with Christmas music. Again, like what I mentioned with regards to the Birthday kit, this screensaver could have been better had there been at least a few different variations of it generated than simply just the message with music. But, again, this is what it is. Maybe Dream Cheeky, the makers of this kit may consider creating and uploading a more entertaining screensaver.

Review Summary

This USB Christmast Decoration Kit is an interesting way and take on celebrating Christmas. It may be a good idea to help cheer up someone who is stuck working on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day by setting it up on his or her computer workplace. Or, simply used as a decorative tool at a public establishment like a restaurant or coffee shop, to help add that extra bit of holiday theme to overall look and feel. Unlike the USB Birthday Kit, you can use this kit for more than a day, practically through the entire month of December if you like and it’s still “in season”. Again, keep in mind it is meant as a decoration kit to help brighten up the workplace and provide a bit more of a spirit or mood of the season.
