Quick Glance at Skyfire 0.8

Hello, everyone! I’m going to start a new category of postings called “Quick Glance” which is a brief look at a software or hardware which I will likely be doing a full review later on. The Quick Glance posting to meant to provide you, the Palm Discovery readers and viewers to get a quick look at something I think is interesting and deserves a quick glance.

Today, I’ll be taking a “quick glance” at the popular and amazing browser called Skyfire that supports the Windows Mobile Platform (5 & 6) and Symbian Series 60 smartphone devices. Skyfire has recently released version 0.8 and made it publicly available so I was more than excited to try it out. Before I continue, I personally find this my favorite browser of choice mainly because it supports a variety of flash enabled websites like YouTube, CNN, allowing me to view the videos inside the browser rather than having to view it in Windows Media Player. Also, I can view websites like they are presented for desktop computers, rather than being stuck with a much limited mobile version and it supports Java as well.

Now since this is really meant as a “quick glance” and brief post, I won’t make you wait any longer. Check out the Quick Glance video below!
