Congratulations to all the winners! I have emailed all the winners. It may take a while before I approve the comments (they’re all moderated to prevent spam) since I am not always at my computer. Thanks.

(Updated Jan 21): Looks like Jared was the first person to leave me a comment and lay claim to the black SkinTight Treo 700p case without the holster. Congratulations! So, all future comments left will now be in the drawing for the remaining 3 cases:

- 1 black Treo 680/750/755p case
- 1 white Treo 680/750/755p case
- 1 white Treo 700w/wx/p case

Here’s another Palm Discovery contest giveaway coming your way. Again, I’d like to thank Jennifer and Speck Products for providing the product sample. This provides me with the opportunity to not only do a review of the products but also give it away to some lucky Palm Discovery readers. So everyone wins! Without the support of the suppliers, and Palm Discovery readers, this giveaway could simply not be possible. Thanks, everyone!

I will be giving away a total of four cases courtesy of Speck Products:

- two SkinTight cases that will fit the Treo 680/750 smartphones*

- two SkinTight cases that will fit the Treo 700w/wx/p smartphones*

*NOTE: only 3 holster belt clips (2 black, 1 clear) are available for giving away since one did not come with the spring clip. Check out the reviews of Speck Products SkinTight case with holster for Treo 680/750/755p and Speck Products SkinTight case with holster for Treo 700w/wx/p for more information on these cases.

Before I continue, I need to explain what’s given away. Normally the cases come with a polycarbonate plastic belt clip holster but unfortunately, one of them was missing the spring belt clip. So, I have only 3 holsters (2 dark and one clear) and 4 skin cases. Obviously ONE of the winners of the SkinTight case will get only the SkinTight case without the holster.

Win one immediately without the random drawing and waiting!

If you don’t mind not having the holster, please leave a comment below. The first person who tells me via the comments below that he/she will take the case without a holster will get it. It’s that simple.

The rest who want the holster will go through the normal random drawing. So, if you don’t mind not having the holster, be the first person to leave a comment and the SkinTight case (please let me know which SkinTight case you want (ie. Treo 680/750 or Treo 700w/wx/p case plus the color: clear or black) will be yours. Isn’t that easy?

Anyway, as mentioned, for those others who do want the holster (Sorry! Once the case without the holster has been awarded, you’re in the random drawing) the usual contest rules and details apply. The deadline for this giveaway is: Monday Jan 26, 2009 Midnight PST (Pacific Standard Time).

CONTEST RULES

1 - One entry per person. To make it fair for everyone, no duplicate entries will be accepted and if a contestant has been found to be in breach of this, all his entries will be disqualified.

2 - The contest is available to everyone all over the world (because I hate being excluded from many great contests that only applies to US residents or anywhere else). Palm Discovery will NOT be responsible or held liable for any fees, loss, damages that may occur with the prize or its acceptance. That means I will not be responsible for lost mail, or if your local country or authorities impose any fees, duties on it or refuse to release it to you for whatever reason.

3 - Prizes will be awarded as drawn. Absolutely no substitutions allowed. All decisions are final.

4 - Palm Discovery will randomly draw a winner (or winners if applicable) from all eligible entries received before the contest deadline.

Palm Discovery will announce and email the winner sometime on Monday, Jan 26, 2009. The winner must respond before 11:59pm PST on Wednesday Jan 28, 2009. Please ensure that you submit a valid email address and that you will be checking it periodically. There have been many winners in the past who did not reply back and forfeited his prize.

Palm Discovery does not spam nor sell your email address for any reason. Should the drawn winner not respond to claim his prize within the time alloted, Palm Discovery will consider the winner to have forfeit his claim and re-draw another winner.

5 - To be eligible, entries must be received on or by the indicated deadline. No exceptions! So enter early to avoid missing the deadline due to technology delays, outages, etc. Don’t wait until the last minute.

You will get 4 additional entries (5 in all) if you submit a Palm Explorer Profile.

I saw this via Palm Addicts. I’ll be more than happy to take the black Treo 700p case without holster if it’s still available. I can do without a holster.

  2. Gravatar Icon 2 palmdiscovery

Thanks, Jared! I have sent an email off to you. Please reply back with your mailing address and it will be on its way!

I’ve been carrying around my Treo 750v for more than a year now, my mobile life practically is about and surrounding the Treo. I’m utilizing it for almost everything I can do with it from morning alarm to keep my personal passwords & bank accounts. I’ve been sharing the stories about how I use my Treo in daily life, which I’m sure many Palm users are bored to hear another old same story again.
But lately, the most important features from Treo that I need the most are its QWERTY keyboard, email and text message. The full built-in keyboard really helps me a lot whenever I need to write long emails or text messages, no shorten words or use too many abbreviations any more. The only drawback is the increasing monthly payment subscription from the wireless carrier. ~LOL~

To keep it short; I’m already too dependent on my Treo, that I’m started to think about getting another one as a spare just incase this one ever got broken. ;-p
Because no matter how much I took care of my Treo and tried to be as careful as I can to use it, there always a time where I clumsily dropped it by accident.

Now, you can call me a freak for loving my Treo so much, but I do and I don’t care what those non-Palm users say about that. There are many other slim and newer smartphones out there in the market, or in fact Palm has released slimmer Treo Pro, but I still love my “bulky” Treo 750.

Ever since few accidental drops left marks on my Treo, I’ve been looking for a suitable and the best skin case to protect it. The thing is; I live in Indonesia where Palm brand is not very well known here and it’s very-very hard to find Palm accessories in here. Asking for Treo case at every local mobile phone stores is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I believe every person has a soul mate out there in the wide-wild world, somewhere, lurking in the dark waiting to be found. Perhaps Speck SkinTight case is the one for my Treo? ;-)

I’ll take the white speck 700p case!

  5. Gravatar Icon 5 DickieD

    :applause:

(And I would have loved the holster-less black one -> wish you’d come to mytreo.net sooner!)

  6. Gravatar Icon 6 Jeff

hey maceyr I would like to try out the black case and holster on my treo 750.

  7. Gravatar Icon 7 hal

maceyr, good website of yours! Glad to know about you again. I saw your post at Brighthand and couldn’t resist to drop by.

Actually, Treo 680 accesories are scarce around, and were never very popular. For the size of the phone, lots of people better carry it in the pocket. But I don’t. I rather look for belt holsters and accesories.

    See you around!

  8. Gravatar Icon 8 palmdiscovery

@Jared. The black Treo 700p case is on its way!

@DickieD, which case are you referring to: for Treo 680/750/755p or Treo 700w/wx/p?

@hal, Thanks for the kind word. Are you wishing to be in the draw for the cases? If so, please comment with your preference of color and the Treo model.

  9. Gravatar Icon 9 Tom

I’d be interested in the white case for the 700p

  10. Gravatar Icon 10 hal

Oh, I didn’t win, but anyway, virtual reps, girl! Your site rocks!

  11. Gravatar Icon 11 palmdiscovery

Thanks again, hal. If the winners don’t reply or contact me before end of Wednesday, you may still have a second chance at it.

  12. Gravatar Icon 12 DickieD

Sorry - have been away and hadn’t checked back on the page until now so I missed your question. I was referring to the 700p case (in that my primary device is still the outdated but never out-greated 700p!). It actually would have been perfect, as my flexi-skin case JUST (last week) ripped after its faithful bout of service.

Congratulations to the winners, and again thank you for the contest
