It’s Wednesday! Time for another installment of Palm Discovery’s wReview Wednesday! Today I’ll be reviewing USB Fever’s Back Cover Case for the iPod Touch, an inexpensive hard plastic back cover case will help protect your iPod Touch from scratches and slight bumps.
One of my complaints about getting practically any new device or smartphone is that for whatever reason, the back of the device always gets dirty, oily and yucky after a short time of use. Or, the device, like my iPod Touch, has a slippery metallic finish that not only slides off my fingers but also gets yucky and oily too. What do I do? The simplest way is to get a case that will cover up over the slippery back to provide you with a much better and less slippery grip on your device, plus provide adequate scratch and bump protection.
I have found a somewhat inexpensive solution in USB Fever’s Back Cover Case for the iPod Touch. It’s basically a plastic back cover case, which fits over part of the side edges and all around the back of the iPod Touch. Think of it as almost a half shell case that covers up the back of the iPod Touch. Not only is the plastic covering hard and rigid to provide decent bump protection but the coating is similar to other rubbery silicon coated plastic that feels soft and smooth to the touch.

As mentioned, the case is a plastic rigid hard plastic half shell case that fits over the back of the iPod Touch. It’s smooth silicon coated finish provides a soft, smooth feel to the case and also keeps away dust and other particles from sticking to it. It also helps you get a better grip on the case and iPod Touch with its soft smooth coating. Very little maintenance is needed for this case. Simply wipe with a slightly damp cloth and it’s clean. Removal of the case is quite easy. Simply grab hold of one of the edges of the corner of the case and with your fingernail, dig into the separation and pull away from the device. The case is very lightweight and doesn’t add much bulk to the slim iPod Touch.

Inexpensive
Nowadays with so many different cases available out there costing almost half of the price of the device, it’s nice to know that you can still get a decent case that is relatively inexpensive that does what it’s expected to do: protect it from slight bumps and scratches.
Silicon coating gives good grip yet smooth to the touch
I really like the silicon coating of the case as it feels very smooth to the touch but yet still gives me a good grip. Plus, it’s one of the best in terms of coatings that do limit the amount of dust and particles that stick on the case. Other cases still do attract dust and particles. This case stay nice and smooth and clean.
Hard and rigid yet flexible
I like this case as it offers a hard and rigid surface that protects the iPod Touch very well. It may be hard and rigid but it’s also flexible enough to manage and fit onto my iPod Touch.
Lightweight
The case is very lightweight and it’s also somewhat thin so it won’t add much bulk to the slim iPod Touch.
Only available in black color
Although I personally don’t mind it since I always prefer all my accessories in black (as it’s my favorite color), I think that many others may prefer their cases in different colors. So, it would be nice if there was a choice in more color selections but in terms of the quality of the case, I can’t find anything to complain about.
Aside from that, the case offers practically what I want in a case: great price, decent protection for my iPod Touch and gives me a good grip. I can’t find anything wrong with t.
Getting a decent hard shell case doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. If you want something that will give decent protection from slight bumps and scratches, take a good look at USB Fever’s Back Cover Case for iPod Touch. It’s a hard, rigid half shell case that fits over the back of your iPod providing decent protection against scratches and slight bumps. Its smooth finish feels soft to the touch yet still helps you get a better grip on your device. And it’s dust and dirt resistant too! Even if you get something stuck on it, simply use a slightly moist cloth and wipe it away. The case is very lightweight and thin. Don’t spend a lot on a case.
