Sure, you’ve got your iPod or mp3 player but there’s only one audio jack so only one of you can enjoy the music. Especially when you’re stuck in a seat for a long duration, this can be very boring and frustrating to take turns enjoying the music. Well no longer! Proporta’s Stereo Y Splitter Cable (standard 3.5 mm/1.8mm) is a Y-splitter cable (split design cable that looks like a “Y”) that has a 3.5mm audio connector (regular stereo audio jack) at one end and two separate cables on the other end. The 3.5mm audio connector will plug into an audio source (mp3 player, iPod, etc) and two separate stereo outputs (ie. headphones, speakers, etc) can be plugged into the two connectors/sockets at the other end. This will enable two people to enjoy the same music from the one source (ie. mp3 player) as the sound output is split into two separate output (headphones). So no more excuses about having only one audio jack for your mp3 player. With this Y-splitter cable, both people can listen to the same music at the same time. Now the only problem is agreeing to the music played.

Two outputs from one audio source
The main feature of this Y-splitter cable is its ability to split an audio source into two separate outputs. This allows two people to be able to enjoy the same music from the same mp3 player or iPod at the same time with no noticeable decrease in quality or sound.
Separate audio cables
Although there are other similar Y-splitter adapters out there that will do the same thing, most of such adapters are of the adapter kind where the connectors, sockets are fixed at a specific position or location. With those types of adapters, you are stuck with the connectors and sockets where they are and some plugs may not fit.
With the Proporta Stereo Y Splitter Cable (standard 3.5 mm/1.8mm) however, they are short cables. Even if you have a right angle headphone plug, or a special 3.5mm audio plug that may be a bit bigger than normal, there is no worry that it will block the other connection as each connection is on a separate cable.
This allows some leeway in terms of where the connections are made, and eliminates the problem of the fixed adapter connection.

The Stereo Y-Splitter is quite portable as you can easily put it in your bag and hold it in your hand.
Slightly more bulky than other Y-splitter adapters
Compared to other Y-splitter adapters which are little more than the size of your thumb, the Stereo Y-Splitter cable may seem a bit more bulky than those. However, since it’s of a cable design, you can wrap it up a bit so that it takes less space.
